Accion Labs developed a Business Intelligence application using Tableau to help the customer consolidate KPIs across the company and optimize products they offered.
CHALLENGES
- Inability to collect, visualize and consolidate KPIs from clients’ various Business Units
- Data integrity issues due to fragmentation of data across different systems as a result of M&As, rapid growth and increase in number of products offered
- Difficulty in collating all data from diverse on-premise source systems and flat files to ingest into a cloud-based AWS Redshift Data Warehouse
SOLUTION
- Transform staging data and place it into Product Analytics Data Mart database
- Build and deliver a logical and physical data model for the Data store
- Developed automated data ingestion routines to source data from various business units
- Design and execute functional and regression test cases for data ingestion routines
- Use AWS S3 buckets to handle huge data volumes
- Assist Operations team in rollout activities and creating handover artifacts
