Job Overview:

As the Strategic Business Partner for Central Europe within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), you will play a pivotal role in driving the 📈 acquisition of new business and fostering growth in the region. You'll lead the "New Business" Development team, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure the successful closure of high-value deals while aligning with Accion Labs' global leadership team. This role requires a strategic approach to create a robust pipeline of opportunities, with a primary focus on securing deals with an annual contract value (ACV) exceeding one million USD in a four-quarter timeframe. As a functional leader, you will also contribute to expanding Accion Labs' capabilities and service offerings to remain competitive in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive 🗺 "New Business" acquisition strategy for Central Europe, identifying key target markets, customer segments, and value propositions.
  • Functional Leadership: Lead and mentor the 🏆 "New Business" Development team, providing guidance, support, and direction to drive successful outcomes and meet organizational goals.
  • Global Leadership Participation: 🌐 Participate in Accion Labs' global leadership team meetings and share responsibilities to align strategies, foster collaboration, and promote overall organizational growth.
  • Pipeline Development: Create a substantial pipeline of potential opportunities, focusing on high-value deals with an ACV of over one million USD, aiming for continuous business growth.
  • Deal Closure: Utilize Accion Labs' capabilities to their fullest potential and personally lead the closure of strategic deals, ensuring favorable margins and adherence to organizational requirements.
  • Innovative Service Offerings: During the first full year with Accion Labs, conceptualize and develop one or two new capabilities or service offerings that align with market demand and strengthen Accion Labs' position in the industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various divisions within the organization, including Sales Support, Delivery, Finance, HR, Legal, and others, to ensure seamless deal execution and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Strategic Alternatives: Offer strategic alternatives in various sales situations to adapt to changing market conditions and optimize business outcomes.
  • Global Coordination: Work with global teams involved in delivery activities to ensure a cohesive approach and consistent service delivery across different regions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in strategic sessions, business planning, industry analyst briefings, and account governance meetings to contribute to overall business growth and success.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, meeting them periodically (approximately once per quarter, with approximately 20% travel), to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.

Skills Set

  • More than 15 years of Sales and Business Development experience in IT services organizations, with a focus on Central European markets.
  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in leading sales teams with ambitious targets.
  • Strong understanding of IT services technology areas, with a formal education background in engineering.
  • Proven track record of creating successful strategy roadmaps and building new business lines for organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office, and experience with sales pipeline management tools such as HubSpot or Sales Force.


  • Salary based on experience (can be done on ICO or HPP basis) plus commissions based on actual volume achieved quarterly.
